Turn memories into jewellery you can treasure for generations

Initial Consultation

Our client focused approach put you at the forefront of your bespoke process. Our initial bespoke consultation is completely free of charge. It is the perfect opportunity for you to get to know us at Stapylton-Smith and for us to learn a bit more about you and what you desire.

For us understanding your taste and personality, or the personality of the person receiving the piece, is just as important as the type and style of jewellery you are looking to create.

If you have a clear idea of in mind, please feel free to share your inspiration ahead of your free initial bespoke consultation, using our booking form here. You can add links to your favourite Pinterest board, Instagram influencer or even a link a piece from our collection. You can also give details of any special requests such as personalisation, engraving or the inclusion of specific birthstones.

If you are unsure of what you would like don't fret, the initial consultation will be a great way for us to answer any questions you may have, discuss budget and start exploring your preferences.

Please be as detailed as possible and include any special requests you would like to see in your bespoke piece such as styles, birthstones or engravings.

Once we have received your consultation request we will contact you to schedule an in person meeting at our showroom, or a remote call or chat via WhatsApp.

There is a £150 consultation fee, which acts as a retainer and is removed from the total price of the bespoke jewellery piece.

Design & Sourcing

Once the initial bespoke consultation is complete, we will begin drafting a design brief detailing the various elements that will go into your final piece, including a projected total quote. This total will not change so long as we stay within the agreed premise of design as outlined in the brief, so you can be sure there will be no unexpected extra charges along the way.

Once the brief is agreed a 50% of the agreed total will be required as a deposit before any works can begin.

Once you have decided on your stone type, size and colour we can begin designing around them. Using CAD technology together we will create a series of 3D renders which will allow your to see your design from every angle. You will have unlimited opportunities to tweak and perfect every element of your piece until you are happy to to move ahead with production.

With any design it all starts with finding and committing to a centre stone, be that a brilliant diamond or a colourful natural gemstone. We work closely with you and local suppliers and artisans to source or custom cut the perfect stone to fit your taste and style. You will have the option to view stones in person at our Chelsea showroom or to use our comprehensive diamond database, which is kept up to date with  images and videos that you can browse discreetly and comfortably from your own home.

Once your stones have been selected and the final design has been approved, we can begin the process of making your ring.

Through a seamless mix of traditional and cutting edge processes, your ring will be made entirely in the United-Kingdom. The production process takes about six working weeks to complete.

Upon completion we will notify you and arrange either an in person appointment for collection from our Chelsea showroom, or we can organise a courier to deliver the ring to you anywhere in the world. Photos and videos of the completed ring will be taken for our records and to show you the finished piece if you wish to know what to expect before receiving it.

The final payment must be completed before the ring can be released for collection or delivery.
