What is Hallmarking?
Hallmarking is the official process of verifying the purity of precious metals such as gold, silver, platinum, and palladium. Once tested and confirmed by an authorised UK Assay Office, a hallmark is stamped onto the item as proof of its metal content and authenticity. This ensures that customers can buy with confidence, knowing the jewellery’s precious metal fineness has been independently checked and guaranteed.
Dealers Notice
As a registered jeweller, we display the Dealer’s Notice issued by the Assay Office, which explains the meaning of each hallmark symbol and helps customers understand their rights and the protection hallmarking provides.
